Director of the Italian Embassy’s Trade Agency, Dr. Gabriele Martignago visited ISTT

Director of the Italian Embassy’s Trade Agency, Dr. Gabriele Martignago visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT), on the 10^th of December 2016. He met with ISTT management team to discuss possible ways of cooperation between ISTT and the Italian Embassy.

During his visit to ISTT and the category II Center of UNESCO (IRIS) hosted by ISTT, and after his initial familiarization with the activities of these two centers, he was informed that ISTT will be hosting the annual conference of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) in 2018, and that IRIS will play a supportive role in it. It was agreed upon that the Italian Trade Agency would assist in connecting ISTT with the Italian Association of Science and Technology Parks in preparation to the conference and in establishing relations between ISTT companies with their Italian counterparts. This conference and the connections made through it will greatly assist in the achievement of ISTT's and IRIS's goals of knowledge dissemination and technology transference throughout the world.

Dr. Martignago also promised to help ISTT and IRIS in the process of finding Italian businesses ready to collaborate with their counterparts in Iran. This Italian-Iranian Business Matching could in potential lead to the creation of new ideas and products helpful in addressing local and global challenges.

Dr. Matignago further visited two of ISTT companies in the field of medical equipment and ICT and got familiar with their achievements and activities.
